"We had a wonderful stay at this lovely little resort. The owners Talia and Antonio, as well as all the staff, were so friendly, attentive and accommodating. We loved the peaceful little beach and being able to snorkel right off of the dock. Our cabana was cute and comfortable and had everything we needed to relax and enjoy our stay. The food served in the restaurant was also delicious! We took colectivos to easily get into town, which is about a 10 minute drive. We had a perfect trip and highly recommend Puerta Azul to anyone looking for a small, boutique experience in a quiet and peaceful setting, with easy access to all that west Roatan has to offer."

"This is our second time at this house. What a fantastic location with the dolphins right off the dock! I love the improvements with more white, more lights and more fans. We really enjoy being right in a local neighborhood (if you prefer resort vacations, this is probably not the place for you). We have loved getting to know the people who live around here. This place certainly has a piece of our hearts.The owners were amazing! They flexed to let us stay when our flight was cancelled even though they were coming in. Thank you!!"

"Our stay was great! The beach that is walking distance is really beautiful, the neighborhood is beautiful, close to grocery stores & restaurants. We did rent a car for our stay. The amenities the house came with were great, just be aware of the electrical charges after your stay. "

"What a wonderful home to base out of for our family's Roatan vacation! There was plenty of room for the 4 of us to spread out and have our own space - but also a nice setup to share meals and enjoy time together. Just steps to the community pool, and less than a 5 minute walk to the AMAZING pier with world-class snorkeling just a few hundred yards out. The grounds are meticulously kept and beautiful. With the few small things that came up (very minor!) the onsite property manager was SUPER responsive and our questions were always answered immediately and exactly to our liking. You'll want to have your own rental car or be ready to have a trusted cab you can keep "on call" if you are hoping to see much of the island. We LOVED this space and will definitely hope to stay here again when we return to the island!"

"This is a great house. Kitchen has the basics to cook a meal (we cooked 5 nights there). The beds are comfortable. The screened in porch is great to use in the morning (hotter in the afternoon). It has a tv that has netflix etc on it. Or you can bring a firestick with express vpn on it (so it looks like you are in the US) and watch your own streaming services. Internet was plenty fast for that and my teenager watching his own stuff.The beach is a 3 min walk away. The house is basically the 3rd house from the beach. The beach is small, but there is a great dock that you can go sit on and has benches where you can watch the sunset. You can also snorkel from the end of the dock. Its a few hundred yard swim to the fish, but its not bad. I would suggest bringing something that floats to drag behind you because you do have to swim through a narrow boating lane (not very busy). We always bring something so we can be seen (and to hang onto if needed). There is even a place where other boats take people to snorkel if you swim out and to the right. Its about an 8-10 min drive to west bay. We had a car (I'd suggest getting one, at least an suv, if not a truck. some of the roads are really rough). When you get to the end of the road coming into west bay, go all the way around the traffic circle and park on the side of the road you drove in on. The road through west bay is a nightmare, you don't want to drive down it ;-). Its also close 2 the aiport -15 min. Stay here!"

"This property is beyond beautiful in the lush tropics of Roatan. It’s slightly outside the tourist area of the cruise ships, yet close enough to enjoy the sights and sounds of the island. We enjoyed the pool each day, the many outdoor lounge areas and the grill. Check out Sol y Mar Beach Club which is just across the road for a beach day and the Sunlen Fish for dinner."

"We had great communication with the host before we even arrived. The property has everything you could need including bug spray, plenty of towels, and a nicely stocked kitchen. We loved sitting in the sun room for breakfast. We cooked dinner in the outdoor kitchen which was incredible and a definite bucket list item. The outdoor shower was fun and different with hot water!! Not only properties in the area have hot water. We used the pool, paddle boards, and fire pit. Chris (who maintains.the property) was kind and helpful. The security at night was friendly. AND most important we could contact our host at anytime with information or answers. Still can't believe we visited paradise. Loved every moment. "
