"This hotel is in the prime area of West Beach! We chose it, because it was a little cheaper than the others in the same area. The beach access is amazing, staff are extremely helpful and we loved the beach restaurant and bar. The rooms are a little outdated, but very clean. The pool was somewhat of a bummer- much smaller and older looking than most of the surrounding area pools. "Why Ibagari isn't rated higher, I don't know. It has everything you'd expect in a boutique hotel, plus more. 18 rooms! Means no competition for beach chairs, staff attention, snorkeling/diving. The boat taxi is an easy way to go up and down the beach, The restaurant is highly rated so your meals are amazing. Rented a taxi to see the sloth rescue (fun), very reasonable. Would recommend you do not rent a car, the roads are challenging (super high, super low and 1 1/2 lanes wide). Planning...

They helped us plan excursions, recommended local restaurants and had great recommendations on the best snorkelling spots right off the beach, which is only a short walk across the street.
