"Our overall experience with the house as well as Carolina was nothing short of amazing. The house is located in a gated like community. We never did not feel safe. A security guard checks you in each time you come into the neighborhood to ensure no strangers are coming in. We got to the house and our breath was taken away. Its a huge house, tons of room, plenty of bedrooms, bathrooms etc. The wifi worked great and the best part of it all, the air conditioning was AMAZING!!! (In Roatan you don't have that most places) You have your own private beach that is cleaned and raked every couple of mornings if not every morning. We hung out in the pool everyday just about and even at night time. At night time they have security guards drive up and down the beach to ensure no trespassers as well. Carolina was very responsive and got everything we needed. She was the best property manger we have had on VRBO to this date. You are a 2 min drive to the Roatan Brewing Company which has amazing drinks and food. Everything else on the island is a short 15-20 min drive. West Bay was only a 20 min drive. This is our second time in Roatan and this house is located perfectly on the island to get to any location quickly. I will recommend this house to ANYONE going to Roatan and we will 100% be coming back. Well done!"

"If peace and serenity are what you are looking for, Barefoot Cay Resort is ideal. As a boutique resort with a limited number of accommodations you can easily avoid the crowds. Although there were a few other guests, my wife and I felt like we had the place to ourselves. We enjoyed sitting on the beach and snorkeling off the pavilion with no distractions. Relaxing on the pavilion, feeling the breeze and listening to the sound of the waves crashing against the rocks after snorkeling was so relaxing. All of the staff were friendly and accommodating. "

"We had a great time on the Island! Gloria and Salome were easy to communicate with and so incredibly helpful! Everything listed is completely accurate. As a couple that travels quite a bit, comfortable beds can be hit or miss. However, the beds here were super comfy and waking up to that beautiful view of the ocean was amazing! The bungalow was clean, felt very safe, and it was easy to get to anywhere else on the island from that point. I highly recommend staying here."

"This house is wonderful. Has everything you need beautiful location nice environment nice people nice pool oceanfront, palm trees wow. The location of this property is perfect not far from the airport not far from the grocery store easy drive to things. Any rental car would be fine to get there. The house is very close to the restaurant in Bar. We enjoyed the ultimate platter that has everything they cook on one giant dish. It was $95. It could feed 5 to 6 people. It has a great dive and snorkel shop right on property boats pretty much right in front of the house perfect snorkeling perfect scuba diving prices were very reasonable. We met some local people that live there and they recommended a restaurant at crawfish rock. The restaurant is family owned. The owner goes out and catches lobster and fresh fish every day. They have a very small menu just things that they catch or grow wonderful. The restaurant is directly on the beach in the sand. It’s awesome. It is very authentic and not touristy at all. The flavors were out of this world. It is Ran by the Minzeth family. You can call Hendrick Minzeth or Henry they will pick you up by car or boat for free. 504 9463 1609. Crawfish rock is just down the beach from Palmetto Bay. Like with any tropical paradise, bring yourself some bug spray and you’ll be fine. The only place we will ever stay will be Palmetto Bay."

"Super thin walls all nature sounds come through. Dusty, no a/c in the kitchen or living areas, poor lighting making it almost dangerous to cook a meal after dark. No access to public transportation or even a taxi, the hostess will milk you dry for a ride, I'm talking $40-60 for a ten minute drive. There's only one restaurant to eat at and they are not cheap. When we arrived everything but the fridge was unplugged and off the house was sooooo hot, there was a heatwave and the hostess didn't bother to at least turn on the AC in the rooms or put water in the fridge before our arrival. Needless to say, the stay was our worse experience, my kids couldn't sleep because they got itchy every time they laid in the beds. I suspect the house was unoccupied a while before we got there and the beds we're not changed , because I didn't see bugs on the beds but who knows. "
