"The Casa Gangotena was perfection! The hotel itself is beautiful and the staff was gracious and attentive. We stayed in a very comfortable, large room with a spectacular view of the Plaza de San Francisco. We enjoyed breakfast and a wonderful dinner at the hotel and loved that the menu included local cuisine. Plus, the prices were reasonable - we would have easily paid twice as much at home for a meal of the same caliber. You also shouldn't miss a late afternoon cocktail on the rooftop!"

"Wantara is a little haven in the city--- unique gardens, tastefully designed apartments (they thought of everything---including really comfy down pillows and duvets), and a good location with easy access to historic Quito. "We loved our week in Quito. Yannik, Gina, Wolfgang and Annemarie answered all of our questions about where to go and what to see. They arranged a driver (Cristobal - 5 stars!) to take us to see places outside of the city and made sure we got back from the soccer game safely! "This place is beautiful, well kept, and clean. We felt so fortunate to meet the friendly and helpful owners, Wolfgang and Annemarie. What a pleasant surprise that was! I’m a wheelchair user (I can walk some) and would hesitate to recommend this place to anyone who has difficulty walking. The entrance is not wheelchair friendly and the most accessible room is multilevel without hand rails."

"We stayed in Suite Luna at Wantara. The pics were very accurate, the suite was exceptionally clean, the outdoor areas were a quiet oasis in the city, and the gated entrance felt very secure.
