"Would definitely stay here again. Clean, comfy, convenient, and recently updated, although it still retains a cute 1950's Florida vibe because of the way it's designed and decorated. I give it two demerits, although I will not let them affect my overall rating because they were manageable: (1) Despite the listing including a restaurant, there is NO restaurant. The Tiki Bar serves a half dozen appetizers, but that does not a restaurant make. (2) They have a LOUD AND RAUCOUS "Drag Bingo" event in the Tiki Bar on Monday nights. To each his own, but because the Tiki Bar is partially outdoors, the considerable racket rings through the entire complex. We were a couple hundred feet from the bar but the noise significantly invaded our room. Fortunately, it did not go on too late, so we were able to sleep just fine. I understand that there's also a Karaoke night on Thursday, which we were not present to experience, but I suspect the sonic impact is similar or worse. I don't begrudge people having fun, but there really was no reason for the music and microphone to be THAT loud for people to enjoy themselves. It's a small space, and the amplification was far in excess of what was required."

"We just love Tradewinds & will be going back every year around this time because the staff and kids activities are a 10/10. The zip line is unfortunately down from the hurricane but they have all pools and hot tubs running, they have the slide up, as well as a hair braider, henna tattoos, little shows for the kids, peddle boats, etc. LOVE TRADEWINDS. Rumfish & The Island Grand!"

"The hotel was in a convenient area. Easy to get to siesta key. We were originally scheduled to stay in a condo on Siesta Key for a month but due to the hurricane we were unable to do so. So much devastation. So this was a last minute booking. "

"We were very fortunate to get one of the newer rooms when we asked for a renovated room and the man at the front desk happily gave us one for a small extra nightly fee (our friends were not as lucky as their room smelled really musty, toilet didn’t work and neither did the phone, but they got their room changed to our building). The room was so nice!! We had 2 queen beds, a little kitchen with a refrigerator, toaster, microwave, coffee machine, all which were so nice to have. We also had a sitting area in that room to play games in and eat in. A couch was also there with a comfortable pull out couch, so that the 3 of us had our own beds. Clean bathroom as well, with one of the nicest shower heads ever!! We were also able to see the sunset from our balcony, which also served as a wonderful place to have our morning coffee! The pool area was great since the bar and restaurant were adjacent to it. Food was very good, drinks were great, and the hot tub was actually hot and wonderful!! There was another pool was available, but we didn’t use it. We had a great time in this area of the hotel! Great pool areas, fun! It was also wonderful to have the beach right there!!! Gorgeous!!! I’d return but only if I could have the room we had something close to it, in size and with the balcony with ocean view and not one of the older rooms my friends almost ended up in. With the construction going on, I feel like it will all be great soon. It was an excellent place to spend a girls’ trip!! "
