"When we arrived we were told we'd been upgraded to a suite, which was a lovely surprise (The Sefton, room 5). What a gorgeous room! Charming character with views to the cathedral. Room was large with plenty of storage. Downsides were spiral staircase and room was very warm, so wouldn't recommend for a summer stay! "The property is impressive from the outside, cosy and comfortable on the inside. The staff are warm and friendly and welcoming. the facilities are good, lovely swimming pool nice bar and restaurant. The reason I have not given 5 star is 1. Temperature a little cool in the bar. 2. Toiletries in the rooms lacking considering the quality of hotel. 3.
