"Pleasant stay, paid with Tesco vouchers so well worth the cost. Room was a bit dated and tired but very clean. Lots of equipment in the gym and nice swimming pool, steam room and sauna. Had to wait about 15mins to use though because only allow max number of 48 but this is actually a positive as not too busy. Pleasant evening meal and breakfast. Also close to a trail around an old Roman settlement which we enjoyed after checkout "

The hotel was both classy and cosy, everything was a nice size ( room, bed, bathroom etc), very clean and everything we needed. The building itself is grand, kooky and welcoming. "Nice boutique feel to the hotel. Overall decor was good, a few tired elements let it down like the iron burn on the carpet and the bathroom flooring. Staff very very friendly. Everywhere was very clean. Good spot to stay to access the city centre."
