"Enjoyed my stay minus the AC not getting really cold. Bed was comfortable and it is in a convenient location with food and activities. Parking is high for property. I found street parking close for a lot cheaper."

"This hotel is comfortable and the location is excellent! We stayed 5 nights for a thorough visit to the city and enjoyed our stay. We felt very comfortable. The restaurant is a nice bonus feature of this hotel. Very cozy ambiance. "While the property is under renovations, it is dated, but clean and safe and a perfect location for a family to stay in SF Fishermans Wharf area. Gated secure parking and close proximity to Starbucks or IHOP for early morning starts was great. Staff was responded to politely and quickly to requests. Great value."

Great Staff at this fine hotel

"I was in San Francisco for a one day medical meeting at the St. Francis. 1) I arrived three hours earlier than check-in time and welcomed the offer to check in early (I don't recall that ever happening at other hotels). 2) The room was a bit warm and stuffy upon opening the door and I wished I could have opened a window, but could not. I noticed the fan (ultra quiet), turned it on and in minutes I was completely comfortable, and reminded so throughout the night. The unconditioned air contributed greately to the incredibly restful sleep I had that night. 3) I worked at the desk until dinner and when I returned I thought I would catch the news on TV, but it would not turn on. I phoned the front desk and within minutes maintenance was at my door, got everything fixed and was gone. I didn't see the invitation to "test-sleep" up to two of the ten interesting pillows offered, but will do so on my next visit.
