"The room was fabulous, lovely bathroom and very comfy bed. The breakfast was buffet style with plenty of choice very delicious. The location was excellent near lots of restaurants & shops, fantastic location for sightseeing, would recommend to anyone."

"Overall lovely place to stay. My room was right next to the roundabout though, so could hear all the traffic going past. Room was lovely and tidy throughout my stay, and always replenished. I had a dusty bottle of water on one of the days, but didn’t bother me too much. Downstairs restaurant (Convive) is nice, good selection of food, reasonable price, and service was really good. Didn’t try out the Stables pub though. Parking included and lots of spaces. "

"It was amazing lovedcevery minute, the reception staff were friendly and efficient, the barman was amazing, friendly, and very welcoming. My only fault was the rooms in the suite were freezing on refection we should have called down and got some blankets. Breakfast was adequate a good selection but the hot food buffet was jnot hot just warm but still tasty."

"The property was lovely. The bar and food were amazing. I didn't notice an 'upgrade' on the room, it was a nice king size room, but the shower was very low pressure. There was no breakfast included which was a shame given the price, plus the spa access is only for 1hr (which includes getting ready afterwards) which for someone disabled isn't much time to enjoy the spa facilities. Overall, I would recommend the hotel as the location and restaurant/bar made it 5 stars!"

"Being from out of the country, I was delighted to be welcomed so warmly and accommodated with an extra night after my last minute request. The food was excellent and it was lovely hearing the Minster chime throughout the day. Would definitely stay here again if I get to visit York again."
