"The hotel is straight forward and offers old fashioned charm. It is a little tired and dated, but clean and has staff who get on with things and are supportive. My only negative is the electric car charging point. Or lack of one. The hotel has two outside plug sockets connected by a cable with a 13amp fuse. Guess what happens when two cars plug in, each drawing 10amps. The fuse blows! The outcome is you cannot rely on getting an overnight trickle charge of a only 2kw per hour. Which is...

"From the moment we walked in the door we were made to feel very welcome by the lovely staff. Our room was not quite up to scratch a couple of things had been missed on housekeeping. However the staff were amazing and quickly showed us to another room and couldnt apologise enough. The room was very spacious room 6 on the top floor so quite a few steps to go up.Comfy bed, clean and tidy alrhough could do with a fresh lick of paint but this is something due soon as explained by the staff...

"The cottage is beautiful and cozy and the grounds are lovely. We walked out of the front gate and directly across the lane into the forest shared with horses. When we drove into the property when we first arrived, we were greeted by about 40 beautiful deer. The location is awesome with a short walk to an old cozy lovely pub and a bit longer walk into Lyndhurst and the forest entrance right across the lane. It was so peaceful and quiet. We did a lot of cooking and the cottage had everything...

"Enjoyed our holiday, the area is truly beautiful waking up to ponies standing in front of the property. Would just make some suggestions. Three ceiling lights in lounge are out, the lights in the dining area flicker constantly clearly a minor problem I’m sure. Light in fridge also out. These are minor issues and I mention them as constructive criticism. Lisa the owner is lovely and keeps contact throughout your booking."
