"I love the old Hawaiian look that the Wild Ginger Hotel provides. There were no fancy pictures or decorations but what they did have, gave me a sense of old Hawaii. I enjoyed every bit of staying there and I plan on staying there again."

Comfortable condo in Hilo

"This is a great 2BD 2BA condo to enjoy your time in Hilo. The two bedrooms are large and roomy. There's modern furnishings throughout, and beach equipment in the closet. The kitchen is well-equipped. The location is close to many cafes and restaurants. Despite being near the airport, noise is not an issue. The only negative was that our entry into the condo was delayed because we weren't given correct access code information by the property management company. Also, as others have mentioned, 2 tiny bars of soap are provided, which seems unnecessarily stingy. Overall, we enjoyed our stay very much."

"What a great stay overlooking the bay and Japanese garden. Clean rooms, excellent customer service, restaurant on-site for breakfast and dinner: the hotel offers two discount coupons for the restaurant and a complimentary drink. I would definitely book again. If I have to critique then I would recommend updating the rooms a bit and better better bath products. Helpful tip… AC will not come on if balcony door is open. Room 530 ocean view 2-queens. Can’t wait to return. "

Stunning Views Best Locale Hilo 2BRCondo

"Such a lovely stay! The condo sits off a peaceful lagoon with stunning sunrises and dewy morning grounds perfe t for morning zen and yoga. The home was bright, clean, and well-equipped for cooking or relaxing. Beds were very comfortable. While the building is older with renovations in progress, security was always present and parking was easy. Pool was dated but still perfect for lounging. The location was ideal and close to fa few restaurants worth a stop, HBJ (BEST burgers), coffee shop, Bank of Hawaii, and a 24/7 Longs for all your essentials. Host left a wonderful list of local places to visit with some gems. A truly convenient and charming spot!"

"The hotel is older and a little run down, but that was no surprise as they were very clear on the condition. Given that, it’s very clean and I had no concerns about the bed linens or towels. It all added to the character! It’s located just a few blocks from downtown which was fantastic, but I didn’t feel totally comfortable with the area to walk there by myself at night so I just drove. "

"Our stay was centered around enjoying Merrie Monarch and all the activities surrounding it, and this property was perfect. Charming, clean and convenient, we were able to take a 10-15 minute walk across the park to the stadium. Everything we needed was accessible vis a short walk or drive "

Great location

"Six friends came to Hilo for Merrie Monarch. We could easily walk to the festival sites and avoid difficult-to-find parking. The condo was comfortable and clean with great views of Mauna Kea and Mauna Loa. Our host Jenny was very communicative. We would stay there again. "
