"I love the old Hawaiian look that the Wild Ginger Hotel provides. There were no fancy pictures or decorations but what they did have, gave me a sense of old Hawaii. I enjoyed every bit of staying there and I plan on staying there again."

Great location near beautiful Hilo

"The condo was very clean, quiet, and well stocked with everything we needed for a great stay. The location was perfect--next to beautiful Carlsmith Beach Park and an easy drive to downtown Hilo, groceries, shopping, and Volcano National Park. We appreciated the elevator to the condo and our assigned free parking spot when we returned from sightseeing each day. We enjoyed a beautiful, sunny week visiting the Hilo Farmers Market, the Tsunami Museum, the Lyman House and Museum, and eating at the best restaurants on the big island. Can't wait to return!"

Sweetest home with everything you need!

"The most thoughtful home! It was perfect for our family. It had everything you’d need (and likely would have forgotten on a trip). They had accessories for our 5 month old (bathtub, playpen, etc.). Our 4yo loved the beach right across the street and the pond. Safe yard & neighborhood. Would love to stay here again. Thank you Robert and Erinn! "

Hale Honu Steps from the Ocean at Maunaloa Shores Condo in Hilo 4/2025 stay

"Hale Honu Steps from the Ocean at Maunaloa Shores Condo in Hilo review. The room booking was easy, and the management company was very responsive before and during our stay. The Condo is well-kept and clean. We had a wonderful time during our stay. This place is right next to Carlsmith Beach Park. I loved getting up in the morning and listening to the birds. At night, I like listening to the coquí frogs. They grow on you. Right behind the building is a dense forest to the right and the beach park to the left. You can go swimming or snorkeling in the ocean very close to the building. Rinse off in the shower and then hit the facility pool. We plan on coming back. It is not too far from downtown Hilo, and the Hilo Airport is very close. Thank you for letting us stay. Mahalo Nui Loa. "

PENTHOUSE BEST VIEW Mauna Loa Shores the Ultimate Next to Beach Park

Did not disappoint

"The property was exactly as described. We could not have asked for anything more in our stay. The host thought of everything, down to the drying racks for laundry, snorkel gear, and a pair of binoculars to enjoy watching the activity in the beautiful lagoon behind the property. We stayed in March and were able to leave the windows open for a fantastic breeze the entire time. Would definitely stay here again!"

Super cute place for 3-4 people

"We really appreciated this house! Everything is clean and ready. The kitchen had all the little fixings needed to buy groceries and cook.It is right by these amazing swimming coves. We saw many turtles and snorkeled with a lot"

"If you are looking for super fancy, this might not be what you want. For my family, however it was perfect. Plenty of room, the things we needed in the kitchen and with kids we were so glad for washer and dryer. Exactly what you would expect from a beach house. Best things...the view and the location. Would book again."
