"The house is comfortable with ample rooms. The bathrooms are unique. Location was perfect, near the beach, not far from great farmers markets. Nearby Sea View has a lot of local entertainment. We enjoyed the evening frogs and morning roosters. The owners dog is very sweet."

"We were able to stay here and enjoy this time while being able to sightsee the island. The nearest beach is clothing optional so beware. And the new beach is Giant pumice rock... So before warned before you expect to go swimming everywhere. However the place itself was great for what we needed!"

"This is a beautiful place and quite clean. They also have a cache of masks, snorkel, chairs and other beach items which is helpful. We used this cottage as base camp to visit Volcanoes NP. It is a good option if you have a rental car. They don't call it the "Big Island" for nothing. There is a lot of windshield time when traveling the area. My only constructive criticism of this property, as well as almost all other VRBOs, is to reduce the unnecessary furniture, bookshelves, and tchotchkes that...

"The property has everything that anyone could need including condiments, and a bike to ride to the beach that is so close; and soaps in the shower! And the lanai is perfect for a relaxing coffee and breakfast and listen to the ocean in the distance. Well appointed furnishings and fully equipped kitchen.. so well done. "Our party was a total of 6 adults and 4 teens/children. There were plenty of rooms for us to sleep & we really enjoyed the outdoor spaces & the common room. It was hot/humid while we were there & although there were ceiling fans and some portable fans, it was still uncomfortable at times especially in the 2 upper rooms. There are sugar ants if you leave certain foods out. We put most of the food in the fridge. There are also geckos that roam around in the common area. We did not mind this....

"As we were driving a series of long winding roads to this property we said to ourselves, “this place is going to have to be really nice to be worth the drive.” And it was. The nature sounds were amazing. Eating every meal on the lanai was lovely. The kids fought over who got to sleep on the lanai. It’s close to a beautiful black sands clothing-optional beach, and otherwise there’s not much to do out there. It’s not the best jumping off point for lots of island touring, but it’s the perfect spot...
