"I stayed at this hotel in 2020 under different ownership and loved it then. I thoroughly enjoyed this stay, even more so than I did five years ago. The staff were all amazing! The hotel manager(s) were beyond helpful and understanding and were always ready to answer questions or lend a hand no matter the inquiry. The bar and restaurant staff, the front desk staff and the house keeping staff were super friendly and were all very attentive and they were also all so very friendly. I love the location of this hotel and it’s in close proximity to everything you may like to access with walking distances to bars, restaurants, the beach and the super market. I prefer staying on this side of the downtown because when you look out over the ocean, you aren’t looking at Cancun. You’re able to stare out into the beautiful turquoise waters and not be distracted by the over development on the main land. Having read some of the limited reviews that have been posted about the Mint since opening, I think it’s important to comment on the repeated comments regarding the fact that there are no blanket on the beds. While this is true, I would suggest turning the air conditioning down or simply requesting a second sheet. Nothing more is needed and it’s important to remember that the temperatures in Mexico are blazing hot to begin with. This hotel exceeds all expectations, it’s absolutely wonderful on every level and I loved everything about it. The staff all deserve raises! "

"I returned to Isla Mujeres for the first time in 10 years and was so pleasantly surprised to find the island vibrant, lively and with so many things to do. I had a great feeling about Hotel Bahia Chac Chi and I was correct. It was lovely. The shower was everything after a long day of snorkeling. I loved having a balcony that looked out over the ocean. The pool was small but why use the pool when you have Playa Norte just a small walk away. The hotel staff were super helpful in both Spanish and English. I Would Highly Recomend."

"This is a beautiful little place right on the beach. It was perfect for us! Close to shops and street food, and amazing views. Although the pool was not working for our stay the warm water of the Caribbean is steps away and the hotel offered to I’m use the pool at a nearby facility. There is currently some construction, as they are upgrading the hotel, but that didn’t bother us. At times it got a little noisy from the beach club next door and others pumping music, but that is to be expected in a tourist beach destination like Playa Norte. The small breakfast was decent, and most days we had very good service. The walk is literally down the street 5 minutes and the beachfront Buho restaurant is very cute. I was happy to hear in advance that there were no small face cloths provided, so we brought our own and had no issue. If you are looking for a five star experience this may not be the place for you, but if you are looking for a nice place to stay that is relaxing with a view of the ocean this is perfect! "
