"10 mins taxi ride from Kyoto station. We used taxis as lines for buses were really long during Sakura season. Taxis came within 5 mins each time. Use the “Go taxi app” Hotel is fantastic. Rooms are modest size for Japan. We had a king bed. Very comfortable. Our room was sound proofed. Couldn’t hear anyone. Breakfast was great and the roof top bar was very nice. Overall a 5 star experience for my wife and I. We just visited this past(2025) cherry blossom season. March 31 to April 5th"

"You will not find a more picturesque location in Gion. In fact, I suspect that directly out the front door might be one of the most photographed streets in all of Kyoto. As we would go out for the day there were always people having professional photos as well as doing amateur photography directly out our door.
