So this is a really amazing home-stay in the middle of Havana.
Positive parts:
It's in a super nice central location, which you can reach within 30 minutes of walking from the Viazul bus stop that arrives from Varadero.
It is super close to the Malecon and all the nice places in Habana Vieja.
The place itself is immaculately clean. It has a fridge and a kitchenette, and an AC.
It is very spacious and has some really cool and authentic wooden furniture in the dining room.
The bed is very comfortable and nice to sleep on.
You can also hop onto house-provided wifi.
The owner can also provide you with safe drinking water for much cheaper than you'd get it from a store.
He will also be able to point you to the interesting parts of town, to local stores and restaurants.
The owners helped SO MUCH after I've hurt my leg on the Malecon. I fell down an uncovered water drain there and thought I broke my leg. The owner helped with walking my wife to a bank, getting a cab, helping me down the stairs. THANK YOU!!
Negative parts:
It was a bit hard to find the house of the owners (they reside in a different address from this one, a few blocks away) in order to get settled into the place.
The Uncle of the person renting out the place, does not really speak English. So you might need to make sure to have Google Translate dictionary downloaded on your phone.
Beware that it's a regular Cuban apartment complex, which is somewhat noisy starting from 7am (there is practically no noise isolation).
