"Hakone-Gora is a quiet area near the base of the cable cars taking you up for a My Fuji view. There are a few eateries and bars but not much else, and the eateries close early. As such it is great if you want a relaxing night and the Emblem Flow has great Japanese style rooms and a terrific Onsen, Also looks to be a good base for walking in the area. We loved it after the bustle of Tokyo."

"This place is esentially a capsule hotel with a common era and a public bath + onsen. Many positives to this place including: - The common area is very nice with a full kitchen and lounge area with books and tea. - There are indoor and outdoor gender separated onsens and showers. "A great location right on the lake in Hakone. Although it looked to be fully booked we did not see other guests and it was lovely and peaceful. We stayed for 3 nights and were fortunate to see Mt Fuji for two days of our stay. The onsen in the room was amazing, we used it twice a day or more, so relaxing. "Coming to Gora Hanougi was a highlight of our visit to Japan. We had a room with a private onsen overlooking a forested mountain valley. Tranquil and restorative. The traditional dinner and breakfast were exceptional and served with attention to detail and grace. Though Fuji San was shrouded in clouds during our visit, I would recommend Gora Hanoungi to travelers to Hakone looking to experience a traditional Japanese Inn (included futons)"

"It is a historic hotel so expect the look to be a little dated, however, that is what adds charm to it. Overall a comfortable hotel, bathroom not so great (review is for FORESTWING TWIN FOREST SIDE). French restaurant is very nice for dinner as well as breakfast, it feels a little formal but a nice experience. Hotel garden is nice, staff is very helpful."

"This hotel was excellent - fantastic and helpful service, very clean both in the rooms and in the common areas, great food, serene atmosphere, and generously sized rooms. Our room had a balcony with a private onsen, which was absolutely worth the splurge. The view was beautiful. I was pleasantly surprised by how comfy the futons were when we slept. The location was convenient to the bus lines but still so peaceful and quiet. 10/10 stars, without hesitation. I would love to come back!"
