"What a great stay!! We travelled with our two teenage boys and I wasn’t sure how the hostel would be for us but our quadruple room was amazing. Kids loved the bunk beds. The traditional onsen was fabulous and I used every day. Super close to train/ cable car and the breakfast was very helpful each morning. "Very close to Kawaguchiko station. Clean and tidy. Has a microwave, a mini fridge and a kettle with a few options for tea. There are two convenience stores about a 5 minute walk from the hotel and Lake Kawaguchiko is about a 15 minute walk. Staff aren’t present on the property outside of cleaning (I think) which worked okay. We checked in and out by a tablet at the entrance. "We loved our time at Fuji Guesthouse. We stayed in their traditional Japanese room, which was spacious for the two of us the night before we began our Mt. Fuji ascent. Both staff members we interacted with were not only kind during our stay, but extended their hospitality beyond it, offering us to store our luggage while we were on the mountain, and allowing us to shower upon our return.
