"The hotel was in a great location. Very close to all the main walled city monents. The room was pretty descent as we had the duplex. The bad...i tried booking the hotel shuttle from the airport..i called and emailed several.times....no anwser..i sent a message in instagram...i got a generic reply...with no anwsers back once again....proba ly. Etywr anyway we took a cap 5 people with luggage for 10 us....also by the upstairs pool there is a bar....prices are very high....ice cream for kids was 40...

"Once there, the owner of the hostel, said that this is not a hotel, is a hotal, dont understand very good the difference. On the other hand, he charged me an aditional for another person in the room, that is not charged general for other hostels. In one word, disapointed!"

"Horrible experience. Sadly Casa Mara still is offering accomodation over the web that is not availbale when you arrive. (see older feedback of other - rejected - guests) THough having a confirmed booking - Casa Mara had no room available. Furthermore the lady at the reception was very rude and pretended she couldn´t speak english - though she spoke perfectly with others. "The room was basic as expected, good air conditioning and fan, the bed had seen better days and sheets were ropey. Good shower and bathroom was clean. Nice to sit on the roof terrace and watch the sun go down. The young lady who was on reception when we arrived was nice and helpful, there was another woman who made the breakfast and monitored the door at night who was pretty miserable and not overly polite. All in all not too bad for the money and the location is great being one block behind...

"Charming, small scale hotel in a historical style, waterfront, within walking distance of the historic town and Getsemani. Nice terraces (3), including one with a jacuzzi. Excellent, welcoming and capable staff. Well appointed rooms, very clean. Great breakfast on a communal table, to share with other travelers. I was made to feel at home during my stay (June 18-25) and as a solo female traveler, I felt very safe and well taken care off. The only down sides are the club next door and the...
