"Beautiful hotel. Only reason I would not return is that bc of the hotel having a restaurant one cannot have any outside food in any of the lobby spaces. Basically if you want to eat anything besides that which the hotel sells it must be consumed in your room. "

"Just a one night stopover on route. Hotel is in a lovely position with good close parking. Room was large and well appointed. Overall condition of room was tired and could do with a redecorate. Bathroom had a bath with shower over bath, never ideal but worked ok. Think the 4 star rating is a bit ambitious based on our experience."

However, external renovations are going on, which were not mentioned on the website. There are very few amenities. There is no elevator and no one to assist with luggage up and down the stairs. There is no phone in the room, so you have to make your way to the front desk to resolve any issues. This can be a great stay but...

"Right in the middle of Oxford shopping and dining, it is a vibrant and convenient. It is simple but comfortable and the shower has great pressure and I thought my stress was washed away with it. Clean and reasonable. "
