Fisherman's boutique resort-condo complex- just 55 units & large sandy beach

"The entire experience was wonderful. The condo, pool and resort is kept immaculately clean. The staff are friendly and provide impeccable service with great tasting food. The views are just as incredible as shown, which is great if you get a rainy afternoon. I loved just sitting and staring at the Palm trees swaying, turquoise water and ever changing clouds. The beds are very comfortable, great kitchen.We enjoyed the walk into town along the lush boulevard with Mayan ruins and beautiful homes....

Incredible common area to have a swim and relax

"Very nice property in a very good location. Our host Angel was outstanding in communicating. Only negative was ovetbearing security guard at the pool. He insisted guests carry their heavy suitcases rather than roll them to their units,. He also confronted guests who attempted to move umbrellas on whells to prvide better shade, defying all common sense. Whil we did not experience these problems, I hewitnessed these episodes, and many guests at the property were very put off by his nonsense, and...

"We really enjoyed being in this community. It is very charming, and away from the hustle and bustle of all the business, yet only a 15 minute walk to the excitement in town. We also greatly enjoyed some day trips to "The Jungle Place", and Xcarat. Lovely people at this condo development, both the staff and the guests. "

"The condo itself is nice with a gorgeous views. You are only about a two minute walk from all the restaurants and shopping. El Faro condos itself (all the common areas)s are maintained immaculately. The front desk staff are very friendly and helpful. They have two night guards who walk the perimeter. We felt very safe in our area of Playa Del Carmen. There are four things we wish we would have known.1. Don't plan on using the rooftop pool. The water had evaporated down to about 1 foot of...

"Our rental unit was advertised and well equipped.The property is in a great location and generally in very good condition, however some areas are tired and in need of repairs (railings, outdoor furniture etc.,).Communication with property manager was quick and mostly clear, although there was a miscommunication regarding property ID bracelets and some check in confusion....the resolution was additional charges, so be clear with property and manager.I would stay again."

"Great staff! They were helpful and kept the property and rooms extremely clean. While this is ocean front property the beach is very small and not really swimable. I would not stay here with kids. But it was great for a couple just wanting to relax on the beach. The location is great. Dozens of dining and shopping options within easy walking distance. We walked everywhere and never felt unsafe."

"The pools were excellent and the staff was also great. Ate at all of the restaurants. Only disappointment was the steak restaurant. The steak was very mediocre. The Italian and Sushi restaurants were outstanding, and the Mexican, buffet, and pizza places were good. Wait staff was very friendly and attentive. The alcohol was ok, definitely plenty of it but had to try a few different drinks early to find things that tasted great and then stick with them. "

"Staying at Xcaret was simply one of the best vacations we have had! The entire service and staff was amazing, we had everything and anything when we needed it. Food was superb and delicious. Now being an all-inclusive aside from the all you can eat and drink it includes entrances to their amazing parks which are filled with so many thrills and adventures, from zip lines, snorkeling, rides to Isla Mujeres on a catamaran, driving jeeps in the jungles, swimming in rivers with crystal clear waters etc, etc. Words just don't do this place justice. "
