"We were a party of 10, getting together to celebrate the 60th birthday party of 2 family members. The house was beautiful, plenty of room for everyone, although to be honest we spend most of our time in the cosy but large kitchen and adjacent games room. Many period features allowed you to really experience how they used to love. Kirby Stephen high street was a stones throw away, making it convenient for local shops and pubs. Would highly recommend for a large family get together"

"An ideal quiet location with access to Penrith and the Lakes. Well appointed modern property, private parking. Host could not have been more friendly and helpfull. We did have a couple of issues with the Verbo discription verse actual facilities- however host was quick to sort out and offered us alternative very close by. Thanks for that. All in all we had a great stay and would not hesitate to book again next time we visit the lakes."

"We loved our stay and were delighted with the property, a stunning barn conversion in a pretty village - three large en-suite bedrooms with comfy beds and double height living area, tastefully furnished, well equipped kitchen and a beautiful well-kept garden. Clear communication with hosts before and during our stay, they provided helpful information about the surrounding area and the welcome pack was much appreciated."

"We really enjoyed staying at this property. We went to a wedding up the road and used the house as a base for walking locally and in the Lake District. If you would like to eat at the butchers arms, we recommend making a booking for dinner- we missed out. The greyhound in shap was excellent though. "

"We stayed for four nights in Turnip House and absolutely loved it. The place is warm and inviting and the slipper bath at the back of the bedroom made it for me!! A bonus is the house is situated on the edge of a lovely village. Our two collies were completely at home in the large enclosed garden and didn't even feel the urge to chase the chickens. It was just lovely. Our hosts made sure we were happy. We couldn't have asked for more. "

"Great house, looked brand new. Very light and airy, located in a complex with others. We took our grown up children and the bedrooms were great. The parking was a little tight for such a big property, but as it was early season we managed fine. Building more houses on site so suspect it may be noisy during the week, but it was closed at the weekend. Lovely little village pub that does food a stone's throw away and lots of nice walks"

"Staying at The Cottage was like being at home, welcoming and comfortable. It was even decorated for Christmas when we arrived! Benjamin was a wonderful host and responded quickly to our queries. The location is perfect for getting to many beautiful locations, there is a well-stocked small grocery store down the block and parking was always available. We will certainly stay here again and might just move in!"
