"The Paleis Hotel is in a great location for shopping, dining and sightseeing. The bed was very comfortable and the room was generously sized with lots of storage for clothing and suitcases. The only difficulty was with check in. There isn’t a regularly staffed front desk and we did not receive the email with the code to open the door to the hotel before we arrived. It was unclear how to contact hotel staff to be let in. "

"I intentionally booked a beautiful room with a bath tub for the end of our trip to Europe. The day we were arriving, they switched our hotel and said they were “upgrading us” This wasn’t true. "The place is in a wonderful location and very beautiful old hotel. Maybe don’t go on the days of carnival if you want to sleep. We were not offered any VIP service as Expedia said. Darci hotel manager was very friendly. We were supposed to be given free one drink every night but only got it once. I believe the young woman on front desk was in training and a lot got missed in the process. However, it is a very nice place to stay.
