"The Paleis Hotel is in a great location for shopping, dining and sightseeing. The bed was very comfortable and the room was generously sized with lots of storage for clothing and suitcases. The only difficulty was with check in. There isn’t a regularly staffed front desk and we did not receive the email with the code to open the door to the hotel before we arrived. It was unclear how to contact hotel staff to be let in. "

"Perfect location. Easy Self checkin-in. Friendly owners whom went out of their way to bring us a grand breakfast as we had a competition, so we left 45mins before breakfast started. "Right next to the cruise terminal which is very convenient. The view of the city and water is stunning from the front of the hotel. Staff were very welcoming and kind, and called us to follow up once we got to our room to check if we needed anything. The room was remarkable. "Hotel in quiet location convenient for Leiden and coast. We had the smallest room ‘Amsterdam’ billed as a single with 2 beds. There was no storage space, only one small cupboard. The beds were inset into wall and one was accessible only by a ladder, and on a balcony with little in the way of a safe handrail.
