"My spouse and I booked the Fosshotel Hellnar as a stop on our Iceland road trip. It ended up being the perfect location to stop after 1 day travel from Reykjavik and partway around the Snaefellsnes peninsula. We were cold and tired by that point and the Fosshotel was so comfortable on our arrival. The fireplace in the lobby was very inviting. "Restaurant staff was abysmal. Restaurant was nearly empty, there were 3 waitstaff. We had to ask for our drinks AFTER the food had arrived. It still took nearly 10 minutes to receive our drinks. And we could see the staff standing around talking!"

Check in was easy and they showed us around the property a bit before showing us to our room. The room we had was clean and comfortable. "We stayed 2 nights in March. Our room was very comfortable n had a beautiful Mountain View. Breakfast buffet n dinner were delicious. Staff was helpful n friendly. I hope to return to the HH someday soon. Thank you HH staff for a nice comfortable visit."

"Great place, far away from everything, so buy from a store what you want because no grocery store in radius of 50-60 km. Because it is distant from lights we managed to see the Northern lights for the first time there :)"
