"The hotel was beautiful from start to finish. Dining was a little more expensive than expected but you really did get what you pay for. The spa is beautiful and staff were lovely. Parking is very expensive though so be prepared"

"It was very comfortable and warm with friendly staff. A really good position for walking around the town and along the promenade. I enjoyed having the use of a swimming pool ."

"Lovely hotel in a beautiful setting. Very good value for money."

"Not much we didn't like. Handy to trains ( our preferred method of transport), to Cardiff central, and easy to get in and out. Lifts are confusing and can leave before you get to the door. Dining room very good, commend the chef. And the more than adequate room had a bath! A rarity in hotels these days but very welcome. We've never stayed in a bad Mercure, that remains the case."
