"Good location, right on the beach, the hotel feels old, the rooms are dated, not to a modern 5 star standard, but all made up due to the kitchen staff, especially Piyush the executive chef and Dalip, who took very extra care of us and made our stay special . Would definitely recommend it for the service. They made special vegan food for us, 5 stars to them."

"I have always loved staying at Galle Face hotel but this time I was a little disappointed The standard seems to have slipped a bit The service was not as good as it was before and the room amenities were not so good. I was also quite disappointed with the breakfast which used to be one of the best. Though the variety was there but not the taste "
