"Fantastic stay in Yala area, food, staff, room all fantastic, safari guides were well informed and spoke the best English we had during our travels, beach is very beautiful, just no swimming. Certainly pricey, but the only complaint we had was there wasn't enough hot water to fill the tub. Everything else was top notch. Yala was very crowded as far as trucks...be prepared."

"The tent was very spacious and clean. The beds were comfy and the entertainment was good. There were board games to play, books to read, wi-fi in the communal areas and sports to play. "Absolutely beautiful property. Right on the beach with easy access. Hanuman langur monkeys were right outside the room. They were so cute! Room had poor lighting, but everything else was perfect! Hotel next door has a superb buffet- best i have ever eaten in terms of variety! Access road was bad and there was no place for our driver to stay so he had to find his own lodging."

"I am not sure that it exist. We could not find it. The guideline was wrong. No one answered the telephone. We contacted Hotels.com. They could not get in touch with Yala Wilderness Safari Camp. They tried to cancel it for us, but Yala Wilderness could not care and invoiced us anyway. Stay away from this accommandation. Hotels.com should not include them, with such a non-existing guideline to find the location and when they don´t answer their phones, then what should on do ?"

"We spoilt ourselves with 2 nights in Ahas Pokuna. This is a truly special place. Greeted at the road side by Arun our naturalist guide we were immediately enveloped in the forest following a footpath (truly the only access) leading us up the the very exclusive camp. We were the only guest and had the middle of three tent suites/tree houses. The beautifully maintained grounds of the camp are full of birds and the staff are always attentive. The food is excellent and plentiful. Arun was delightful...

"It started with a bad surprise, for which I would blame Hotels.com as they showed pictures of the Mahoora tents, but booked us in the Big Game tent… a lower standard. Once that issue was cleared, we truely enjoyed our stay… the Mahoora tent is amazing, in a stunning environment. Service is great, candle dinner is amazing… and the safari organization was perfect."
