"Had an excellent night's sleep here before the Jedburgh Ultra. The bedding was high-thread Egyptian cotton and felt very smooth and cool and luxurious. The mattress was super-comfy too. The owners Amanda and Rob were really welcoming when I arrived. It was just a few minutes walk from the bus stop. There were codes for the front door, porch door and rooms, so it felt secure. An early start for me, so I didn't have time for breakfast, but looked like lots of good options available for that too....

"Great central location from which to explore the Borders region from Bamburgh to Melrose ; from the Alnwick Gardens to Edinburgh. After a great day exploring to return to our quiet countryside cottage for a relaxing glass while watching the sunset over the hills as the the horses enjoying a late night snack in the paddock and the swifts and bats doing tricks was wonderful . "Lovely big bedroom. Old fashioned, traditional and quirky, but good. Room clean and tidy. Bathroom very well decorated with huge bath and seperate walkin shower. Hotel could be drafty in places, so open fires were nice. Breakfast was great. "
