"When we arrived we were told we'd been upgraded to a suite, which was a lovely surprise (The Sefton, room 5). What a gorgeous room! Charming character with views to the cathedral. Room was large with plenty of storage. Downsides were spiral staircase and room was very warm, so wouldn't recommend for a summer stay! We had to have the windows open, which then meant you got all the traffic noise and people leaving clubs and pubs. There is no aircon. The bed was super comfortable. The staff...

"lovely property in a peaceful village setting, with good road links to where I needed to be. this is my 4th visit to "The Buck" and it never disappoints, they even managed to fit me in for a lovely dinner despite the pub being VERY busy with diners. hopefully be staying there again in december "

"The heating was on a timer and there was no heating the second night which was not nice in November. I will take a heater the next time. Reception was not manned when I arrived - fair enough for a few minutes but I had to wait a bit longer. "

"Amazing budget hotel. Room was tip-top. Clean, tidy, and presented very well indeed. Warm welcome at check-in. Can't fault the room for the price. Will happily stay there again without a second thought."
