"This property is in the most perfect location in downtown Boston, it was honestly better than I imagined. My husband and I stayed here for our 2 year anniversary. Even though the building was under construction, everything was quiet and nice during our stay. We didn't rent a car so we walked everywhere and it was close to everything it felt. 10/10"

"I really love the location and atmosphere at the Hawthorne. The staff is friendly, the rooms are comfortable. The parking lot was really icy and there was loud construction that started at 8am. We'll be back!"

"The historic part of the hotel is as you would expect small. I recommend staying in the newer buildings. We stayed in the infamous Room 40 of the historic section. It’s definitely a bit creepy and is allegedly haunted. It features a huge antique King size sleigh bed. Great for couples. We didn’t see any ghosts, but the desk got complaints that we were moving furniture around and the TV was loud. Neither of which was true. "

"Staff are always pleasant and asking if they can help you. Always greeted with a hello or good bye. In walking distance to Aquarium, Boston Commons, Quincy Market, Faneuil Hall, Freedom Trail. Great places to eat in the area and the Pub right next door was an added bonus. The water bottles and filtered water on every floor is a nice touch. The coffee/expresso machine in the lounge was broken the two days we were there which was a disappointment. Second time staying at this property and would...

"Charming. Safe, quiet, old world. Felt intimate, cozy, and special. We loved everything except the breakfast- it’s something you get at the cheapest motels. Plan for eating out. Parking is very expensive. Back Bay charges more than advertised. Dining suggestions were great. "
