"The staff were helpful and friendly throughout our stay . The room was probably in need of an update but cannot fault the cleanliness . It has a lovely bar area inside and out and both the outdoor pools were clean and tidy . The indoor spa and pool were an added bonus . We were B&B and the breakfast was more than acceptable. We did eat in the restaurant on one of the evenings and found the food lacking in choice but this would be my only negative. The hotel is a 20min walk into the town centre...

"A very welcoming hotel with friendly and helpful staff . All areas are spotless and rooms spacious and comfortable. The grounds are immaculate and there is one heated pool . Very much appreciated in the winter months ! The hotel is in a convenient position with a short downward walk into Funchal and also benefits from certain areas within The Savoy Palace . Breakfasts delicious .. I could not fault this hotel and would definitely recommend. We will return ! "

"The hotel is excellent.Rooms were spacious, we had a superior Ocean View Room, and were very clean. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Hotel is on a steep slope and overlooks the Ocean. Handy for the Lido (5 mins walk) but outdoor pool was clean and quite a big pool, with plenty of sunbeds on several levels for when the warmer weather arrives. We visited in January when it was still warm but pool not so important. It also has a nice indoor pool and a larger than usual gym for a hotel. The...
