"We had a pool suite for a family of 4, and the room was enormous and so luxurious. The bed was very comfortable, and my children said that the sofa bed was too. We absolutely loved the pool on the balcony. Breakfast was very busy, and an amazing number of guests somehow manage to drop food on the floor. "Lovely hotel, however when we arrived we were just given our keys and shown the lifts - very little information from the clerk, despite the large number of staff on duty. We felt that limited our stay as we were unsure of all facilities."

"This was our second stay at the hotel, this time with friends, who enjoyed their visit as much as we did. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. There was a good choice of food for the vegetarians in the group. The facilities and rooms were excellent. The location is ideal. I'm hoping we'll be able to visit again!"

"Great stay. Did book a superior room on the top floor so had our own balcony. A very substantial buffet breakfast that will keep you going all day. Spar across the road for snack and drinks. Lots of good restaurants within easy walking. Great parking facilities under the hotel if you have a rental car."

Room decor not to our taste, a bit dark generally and we had to keep curtains closed to keep room cool, despite blinds, but otherwise spacious, well equipped and clean. Very comfortable beds. "Great hotel in Machico! We booked a few nights here to get away from Funchal but still be close to hiking and the airport. This hotel was perfect! A short walk to a small beach and a the few restaurants nearby were great! The breakfast was also good, highly recommend!"
