Sadly, not that it affected me but it might for other first time visitors to Vancouver, there are a lot of homeless and drug affected people all around the streets of down town Vancouver. Not sure why this is the case. "

"Our stay December 18-20 was lovely. The hotel has a unique style with lots of custom woodwork and beams thru out, which contributes to a wonderful cozy ski chalet atmosphere . The Christmas decorations were traditional and tastefully done. Having lots of snow outside helped to create an overall feeling of contentment before the busy Christmas season."
