"Stayed here a couple of times and there is a lovely vibe. The rooms are an absolute electric mix of modern and antiques, beds are comfy and there is plenty of space. All rooms are very different so if you want a bath or shower in particular, make sure you check the details. Food in the pub is amazing, staff are very welcoming and the chef accommodated my dietary request without hesitation."

"Lovely country pub in good location for local tourist sites with friendly and attentive staff. Stayed for one night whilst visiting Beamish Living Museum, nice room, friendly bar downstairs and full cooked breakfast available in the morning. Will be happy to return and would recommend to others."

"Lovely stay at the Turks Head Rothbury. Staff were helpful and welcoming. We were in no. 5 the Garden room. It was very clean and had everything we needed. Bed so comfortable. Very dog friendly. "

"Nice friendly pub with good choice of beer and pub group. Rooms clean and adequate with twin beds so would be a squash for two people. Stairs would be a probkem for anyone with mobility issues."

"Booked last minute as we needed to break our journey. Arrived at 20.30 hrs. Staff were welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. As food was only served till 9pm we put our bags in the room and came down for some food. The menu looked good and what we ordered didnt dissapoint. I especially loved the chips qhich were treble cooked. Our room was clean and fairly basic, in a nice sort of way. "Enjoyed a pleasant short stay here as a family. Service in the pub/restaurant/breakfast was prompt and friendly and food was good quality and value. Our room was unexpectedly warm for the time of year, despite radiators being turned-down but there was already a good fan in the room to counter this. We had no issues with noise despite being above the pub. "
