"Melia is a great place to stay. The restaurants, bars, pools, beach, rooms, etc. are all nice. Work out room is adequate as well. We did participate in many of the activities. Volleyball and aerobics were fun. April does a great job running her tasks. I feel like the other staff in leadership roles do not know English as well as she does. But that is my fault, as I know zero Spanish - lol. The entertainment was adequate, most of the day staff work hard to put shows on at night. The magic show was very cool, especially the shadow puppet master. The ocean in front of the resort was the only downer. The water was brown for 3 or 4 days and we snorkeled and swam at the neighboring resort. The water did clear up at the end of our trip. The snorkeling is amazing just south of the resort. The bartenders and waiters were all fantastic. My wife and I did participate in the level option. The feature is really not necessary, as the other two rooms that my family stayed in were not part of the level and we did everything together with no issues. I would go back. This is the first time staying at the Melia, but we have been to Cozumel many times. We love the beaches, San Miguel, etc. We have never had a problem staying on this island and will continue coming."

"Wonderful house with the most gorgeous views from every room. We had the best time celebrating birthdays and exploring the island. Recommend renting a car if you plan to explore. Highly recommend meals at the house with Sandras kitchen and hiring Sandra the concierge. She helped us plan a fabulous week of excursions, bought tickets for us, arranged taxis for our mainland adventure and offered many recommendations for restaurants and sites to see on the island. Only thing that could have been better was the beach conditions- lots of seaweed and murky water. Didn't keep us from paddleboarding and taking kiteboarding lessons, but wasn't ideal swimming or snorkeling conditions. Luckily the pool was perfect for staying cool and having lots of water time. Wish we could have stayed another week. Loved it!"

"Our family and friends joined us for my husband's 40th birthday celebration in Cozumel and we couldn't have asked for a better experience! The house was amazing! We traveled with 9 adults and 3 children and there was more than enough space for all of us. Everything from the pool, to the beach access, to food and service...the entire stay was perfection! Mariano checked on us daily and was extremely attentive and responsive. Chef Francisco, Elsi and team made sure every meal was better than the last. Extra shout out to Elsi!!! If you see this review...my entire family wants you to know that you helped us have the most memorable time! Finally Jesus and Lupita were there daily to clean the house and who were also always pleasant and warm. We very much felt at home and plan to return again!"

"The Villa was beautifully appointed with rooms that were spacious. We arranged for Chefs (Jorge and Giovanna)who cooked delicious meals for breakfast lunch and dinner. There were several nooks for privacy, and nearby amenities for outdoor adventures or nightlife. Kitesurfers provided thrills daily. The only significant negative was the sargassum that amassed during the visit. Overall Casa Playa was beatiful and relaxing, with an attentive staff. It's a great place for any family or group."

"This was our first time not staying at an all inclusive resort and we don’t plan on ever going back to an all inclusive. The rooms were great and comfortable the pool and beach access amazing. The maid service was incredible and the personal chef was top of the line. The host helped arrange all of the chef services, a boat ride to Cielo, swimming with dolphins, in house massages and transport to the airport. We will definitely be staying again. "
