"Ashford Castle was the best hotel that I have ever visited. The staff is delightful and facilities exceptional. We enjoyed a private Hawk Walk lead by Mel. She was terrific. We played 9 holes and had the course to ourselves. The grounds are breathtaking. The room that we stayed in thru Hotels.com was 420. What a beautiful room with lots of light. It was just amazing. It was a bit of heaven! You must visit. "

"I booked this hotel for friends who were traveling with us for a group trip. They said that the hotel was fabulous, and they really enjoyed all of the amenities. They especially enjoyed the daily breakfast that was 15 euro for guests."

"The hotel is centrally located in Galway. Everything is within walking distance yet it is tucked away in a quiet corner of the city. The food and drinks at the hotel are delicious and the staff is accommodating. Something to note is that the heater in the room automatically turns off in the middle of the night, so the room got chilly during the wee hours of the night. I told the staff this and they kindly provided me a second comforter and portable heater for my room. I appreciated the extra service the staff went!"
