"Mary runs and owns this place for more than 20 years. She has perfected the service and art of the business. I got an email message regarding directions to get there. She greeted us at the door with a very warm and welcoming feeling. Our room was clean and the breakfast was superb! The home is well maintained with wonderful flowers outside. Kenmare was just a 10 min walk away where you can find bars and restaurants. This is an awesome highly recommended place!"

"Downton Abbey Experience. The host (owner) emphasized it is an "ancestral home." They treated us like the Downton Abbey television show that portrays the 1920's -- without the dressed up staff. Diner was a must for the experience. They treated us like Aunts and Uncles coming to visit. Drinks before dinner in the library.... four course dinner.. drinks after in the library or drawing room. "Our hosts were fantastic, friendly, very helpful with local knowledge, great food, very clean, neat room. Best shower we've had so far ensuite, comfortable bed. Location was fantastic, easily accessible to the Cliffs of Moher, the Doolin Ferry to head out to the Aran Islands and see the Cliffs of Moher from the water. We drove into the Barrens this morning and watched a Sheep Dog demonstration, Caherconnell Fort, Poulnabrone etc... on our way towards Galway. "

"What a terrific stay at the Coach House. The grounds are beautiful, the room spacious and comfortable, and the host is completely charming. I wish we had booked a few more nights there. It's just far enough out of the city to be quiet and tranquil. Breakfast was delicious and filling and I must admit they had the best eggs we had on the trip. I don't know how Des made it happen but a herd of cows were our wake up 'call'. It doesn't get any better than that."

"The lodge is quiet!!! Our room was immaculate, the bed was very comfortable and the view of the lake from our room and the lounge was wonderful. Many thanks to our hosts, Connie and Donal, who were amazing. Breakfast was the perfect start to exploring the area. We spent time on the Aran Islands and in the fishing mecca of Oughterard. Donal and Connie know the area well and offered spot on advice and insights. Would definitely stay here again. Thank you Connie and Donal!!!"
