"Ratilanna is a beautiful hotel with a traditional style and 5 star amenities. Unique style and very serene location next to Ping river. Only a short ride from airport but a 15 min ride from Chiang Mai downtown We had booked 2 rooms and the staff was very nice to upgrade one of the rooms so that whole family were in adjacent rooms. Loved the decor in the room. Never saw such large bath tub with a TV and a waterfall feature. Exactly like on the hotel website pictures The pool is also very large and fun. The hotel grounds are very well kept. The breakfast buffet is delicious and numerous veg and non-veg options. The restaurant overlooks the river with outdoor dining option. It’s a very serene environment in the morning for breakfast. It has a large indoor option with huge glass wall and air conditioning for those who prefer cooler temperature. We had lunch a couple of times there too. The food and drinks are amazing. Even though we ate outside in other restaurants in Chiang Mai, the food here was the best. The entire staff during our stay was very friendly and helpful. No exceptions. We enjoyed our stay very much and highly recommend it anyone planning to Chiang Mai. The other 5 star options are contemporary style hotels u see in any city."

"We were staying in the hotel when the earthquake struck on March 28. The management and staff were extraordinary in their response to the emergency - compassionate, calm and practical. After evacuating into the 97 degree's heat they provided us with water. 3 hours later sandwiches came out. Management provided regular updates. I have never been treated so well by a hotel under such difficult circumstances. Truly remarkable - a credit to Marriott, Chaing Mai and Thailand."

"A nice hotel in the east side of Chiang Mai, near markets and bars, massage parlours. It had a good range of breakfast items. The Staff were lovely and understanding. A good place for couples a solo travellers to stay.. "

"A pretty modern hotel with a great breakfast buffet full of great variety - Thai, Chinese, Vietnamese, Korean, Japanese, and American, and it changes everyday for at least half of it. Only thing is that the bathroom is glass, so not much privacy. Our bathroom door also didn't close all the way. It's in a good area though."
