The ferry to Cozumel is only a 20 minute walk and there were plenty of activities each day from dance parties to silent discos to volleyball. "This resort is incredible. It is huge and has everything you can ask for. That lazy river is so much fun and long, we loved it. All pools are huge and very clean. The beach is very nice and clean. The second beach are where the fish’s are in is so cool. Your little own aquarium to snorkel in. Food was very good and the drinks were flowing. Lots of activities and kids friendly. "Resort was fairly new and very nice. Dining was very good and we enjoyed all the restaurants. Jacob (beach guy) was very kind to us. Also, Jose at the Market Cafe was very kind. The two ladies that worked the beach/bar area during the week weren't so nice. They were rude and didn't do much to keep us with drinks. They seemed to be lazy and stood in the shade most of the day. We had a great stay and would go back. "

"We had a good stay at the Reef with our family. Wish there were a few more food options. Especially as a vegetarian. Would be nice if they offered veggie things at the poolside restaurant. Buffet was good and service at the restaurant was always great. I really wish the entertainment started earlier. We have young kids and unfortunately had to miss out on the entertainment every night because it started at 9 or 9:30pm. Also the earliest you can eat dinner is 6:30pm which is quite late for kids...

"First time at this property, 5th time in Mexico and 2nd time at a Riu Resort (Ocho Rios). The property was beautiful, well laid out and maintained. It was spotless! Check-in was easy and our rooms were ready a couple hours early. The rooms were fresh, clean, no smells and the air conditioning worked perfectly. There is a tub in the middle of the room; weird but it made for a good clothes hanger! The beach and pool were perfect. Chair hogs around the pool but plenty of loungers on the beach....
