"American man, Colombian wife, 2 American teenage boys: Overall the apartment was very nice and we enjoyed our stay. Very clean and within walking distance to the entire city and beaches. Nice pool within the complex as well. It was quiet at night even though you're in the heart of the city walls. A few minor miscommunications with management, but nothing that impacted our stay in a negative manner. Overall, very happy with this apartment. "

"Perfect Money Value ratio. Location, location, location for Cartagena walled city."

"Great central location. Friendly/helpful staff. Annoying that you have to knock on an unassuming door to get in but easy after you figure it out and I guess it’s for security purposes. Would opt out of or not pay for breakfast if that is extra cause it was pretty bland and unexciting. Nice steam sauna though. "

"The hotel was nice but our first room was on the lower level, and slightly downstairs, smelled very musty and damp. They tried to cover the smell with perfume and cleaning supplies, which made it worse. We asked to change rooms and they moved us up one floor, the room was so tiny we could not open our bags but it was better than the smelly room. This room had a shower so small that my head nearly hit the top of it. We did not have hot water any of the 3 days we stayed. I would not...

"We got a basic double room here, and it was so small and the bed took up so much space that we could barely fit ourselves + luggage into it! Being backpackers, we don't even have that much stuff. There were decorative holes in the walls near the ceiling, presumably for air flow, but they mostly let in mosquitos that ate us throughout the night. The staff, though friendly, also didn't always seem to know what was going on, making it hard to extend our reservation or even get information about...

"It has a roof top pool that's small but has a fantastic view. A few steps up is a popular bar with food with even better views, including at sunset. The staff is incredibly responsive and helpful. A delicious breakfast is included. It is restaurant style, not a buffet, which is nice unless you are in a hurry. They have Direct TV. My room had an ancient looking stone wall that's probably fake but gives an authentic feeling. It had been an office building. When it was converted, about 20 years ago, they found a Spanish cannon from the 17th or 18th centuries, and it is on display. Also they have free coffee and cookies at all times in the lobby."
