"​We had an exceptional stay at Martel Guest House, and Phil, the host, was outstanding. The accommodation was impeccably clean and provided all the amenities one could desire. The parking facilities were excellent, offering a safe and convenient place for our vehicle. Considering the reasonable rates, it's a wonder why anyone would choose to pay exorbitant prices in central London when this gem is available. We will undoubtedly return to Martel Guest House on our next visit to London."

"We loved how reasonable the place was, and how close it was to the airport. However, the mattress was pretty cheap, the shower in room number four was clogged and began to overflow pretty soon after beginning the shower. Finally, a shuttle one-way cost 42 pounds which seems unreasonable for a 10 minute drive. Taxis were cheaper but they were still 30 pounds. If you don’t have a lot of luggage, you can take the subway and it’s not too bad of a walk. "

"Lovely place really and very hood value. Was delighted to find it. Room very nice, and enjoyed the kittle kitchen for making tea in the morning. Pub nice too (food is pricey so take note). Location is great. "

"Very clean, safe, 22 min walk to train station, easy check-in, they send you a one time code via e-mail, to enter and get your room key at the reception, easier check out, just to drop off the key in a box, mini fridge in room, private WC in room, shared shower, which I saw always available, cookies, 2 water bottles, liquid and mini bar hand soaps. Two water faucets, you need to decide to wash your hands, face and mouth with very hot or very cold water. Nothing in between. No sheet to cover,...

"Clean, equipped with everything you need for a short stay and everything worked. However, it was noisy, at least the room faced towards the busy street. You could hear every single car through the closed window, someone's car alarm sounded in the middle of the night. Next time the house undergoes a refurbishment they ought to put another layer of windows at this room. "
