"Beautiful beach and swimming pools. Location is a little remote, excellent for getting away from the city, but a bit too far for going into Kota Kinabalu regularly. Service was good. Prices were decent. The resort needs a bit of updating - the showerhead was leaking, and cleaning the bird poo from the beach bar tables and chairs."

"Check in at reception was easy and trouble free. Rooms are clean and fantastic views of the sea but the hotel is showing it's age with rooms' decor old and tired, and loose decking on balconies and in public areas. We especially booked this hotel as it had so many dining venues and bars, but upon arriving and settling in learned that 2 of the restaurants had closed and the swim up bar closed during covid and have not been reopened. Their website should have been updated with this information as...

"Decided to treat myself to an overnight stay in The Empire and what a fabulous experience. I was upgraded on arrival and had a fabulous room with a large bathtub and sea views. The room was very comfortable and the bed was heavenly. Sitting by the pool was a beautiful experience but remember to bring bug spray! Breakfast was fantastic and overall the experience was just wonderful. "

"Airport shuttle was excellent. Connected to a mall and very near to airport. Very good for transit. If the hotel lobby is upgraded to new furniture it will be better."
