"Staff is very responsive and attentive. Having an in room onsen is great so that we can take a dip in it any time we like. Although the property is a little out of the way, they can always take you to near by bus or train station upon request. Dinner and breakfast are served inside the room. You sit on the floor and the table is about 12-14" high. Sitting cross leg may be uncomfortable to those who are not used to it. Getting up from that sitting position may be difficult for some."

"The staff were very friendly and helpful. Ms Izumi provided detailed instructions during the check-in procedure. The onsen facilities were excellent - exactly what we needed to relax and enjoy the amazing surroundings. The kaiseki dinner on the 1st night and the Kobe beef on the 2nd night were excellent. We would definitely return to stay."

"Arima Onsen Motoyu Kosenkaku is known as “La Fontine / The Lodge Arima Resort” in English. The property is located in the outskirts of the main village of Arima and is about 25 minutes on foot up a hill. Travellers with mobility issues may find this property difficult to access unless prior transport is arranged with hotel reception staff. We stayed overnight in a standard Japanese-style room. The room, well-appointed on the top 6th floor, is very spacious and has amazing views of the mountains...

"Everything all in one. Communal Onsen with a view. Room is made up at bed time with futons. Store on site. Food presentation beautiful. Great service. Shuttle service as well timely and safe. "

"There are many different choices of onsens in the ryokan. The staff are excellent as well, their english proficiency is one of the best I’ve seen as well. Although there were some incidents at the start when we check in, the staffs are very efficient at dealing with it. Overall I’ll recommend anyone who visits Kurokawa onsen to give this ryokan a try"

"We loved the Onsen experience at the hotel! We experienced the ryokan setup at the hotel and the beds were comfortable. The breakfast buffet was good with lots of variety. The outside Onsen has nice view. "

"Excellent room Staff are helpful but cannot speak English. Comfortable place The only complaint was the food. It snowed on the night of arrival and the next day we decided to use the hotel dinning. There plenty of choices but the food are not as fres at other places and was quite expensive . We later found reasonably close by restaurant which are actually cheaper. "

"Dinner was great (pleasant surprise) and it was lovely to have a small hot springs bath/tub off the deck of our room. Bus was our only option, really, that far up the hill - so would plan some cushion into your day for that when getting around. "
