"A perfect little gem of a hotel right in the centre of the hutongs. Very clean and welcoming with superb service from their staff (who speak English). The hotel is like a little museum to Chinese shadow art with so much information, examples and a library. An added bonus was the actual shadow art performance and demonstration by the puppeteer. "

"Damp and moldy room, which made us leave after one night. The whole hotel, including corridors smelt the same, so se didn't even ask for room change. The hotel was "alright" otherwise. The price was 15% higher than advertised (booked), and since we didn't have local SIM, we were unable to call Ebookers (and we were too tired to make huge mess about it - 30 minutes trying to deal with Google translate was enough, they didn't talk english even a single word).
