"Nice modern hotel with excellent rooms: mine had a spectacular view out to sea. I was pleased to discover that the hotel was quiet although busy. The staff were very pleasant and attended in a professional manner. The food, unfortunately, I thought was disappointing although very keenly priced. Food service was lacking a bit of professionalism. Overall I enjoyed my stay and I would return."

"If you are looking for 4 or 5* ratings then the Waterford Arms isn't for you. If you want honest, no frills accommodation with wonderful staff and great food then you're onto a winner. We had a great stay and when the area had a power cut on a fully booked restaurant on Saturday night the staff were amazing. Despite a considerable loss of income they kept smiling and coped very well. Seaton Sluice itself is very popular at the weekend. Not surprising really as it is very picturesque. We would be...

"Stayed here a couple of times and there is a lovely vibe. The rooms are an absolute electric mix of modern and antiques, beds are comfy and there is plenty of space. All rooms are very different so if you want a bath or shower in particular, make sure you check the details. Food in the pub is amazing, staff are very welcoming and the chef accommodated my dietary request without hesitation."

"Very friendly place with fantastic food and traditional bar area, rooms are a little old fashioned but very comfortable, I would definitely stay again. There's also a carpark to the side so no issues with parking."

The breakfast, (included in the price) was huge and tasty. I really liked the fact that they offered a packed lunch as an alternative to the breakfast. The village of Rothbury was beautiful."
