"From the outside, looks a little tired, but once you are in the rooms are large, clean, and well-equipped. The staff were friendly and thoughtful. Little touches, like a handwritten personal card in the room, make you feel welcome. My only extra two wishes would be for a little more illumination near the window for the evening (a reading lamp, for instance) and there were effectively two dressing tables but not a proper desk and chair - which makes it quite hard to do any work. "lovely little place to stay, central location within easy reach of the centre. We checked in on the last day of the Christmas markets which is a great time to visit Bath. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff. Especially loved the en-suite which had a roomy walk-in shower and heated floor. Could be a bit more eco friendly though, the bar of soap was changed daily, as were the single-use mini bottles of toiletries. "

"This was an overnight stay while working locally and this place was chosen for its location and the fact that it’s a pub as well. The room was nice but could do with some TLC but I was very comfortable. The bar area was a little cold but I soon warmed up with the lovely food that was on offer and the staff were really friendly and helpful which is why I would recommend this place to others thinking of staying here."

"Friendly from start to end. Good food. Good atmosphere in lovely rural setting, but just two miles from M5. We were travelling down from the north west to the West Country and back, and it was a perfect breaking point for our journey."

"Nice warm and clean room called Ashley. Comfy bed and nice touches like a jar with fresh baked cookies with the tea and coffee. Only issue was the Bathroom light was on a sensor which meant it went out when you were in the bath shower or on the toilet. Very good breakfast and evening meals although a bit limited in the number of meal choices. This meant we only ate on one evening as we did not fancy the other things on the menu"
