"Great location to stay a couple of nights for a sad family occasion. Jasper on the front desk was great. Facilities are OK but not perfect. At breakfast even in non peak periods, basic items were missing and tables unkempt. However our room was spacious and we would stay again though not if we wanted to feel spoiled or as a particular treat. "

"Nice hotel if lacking a bit of character. Room was ok. It was facing the main road so a bit noisy - no chance of a lie in if you wanted one especially on the Monday. Very comfortable bed and very clean. A little on the cold side for my liking but was offered extra blankets if I wanted. The bathroom was really quite cold even with the heated rail on. "The venue is in a beautiful historic building. The facilities are great including a pool with sauna, steam room and jacuzzi. The rooms had massive comfy beds and were cleaned daily with plenty of towels and extra tea, coffee and biscuits. My only quibble is that the rooms didn’t have internet tvs. "

"Corridors & hotel room tired e.g. torn wallpaper, scuffed table. Receptionist accused me of not paying for dinner the night before where I had to provide a credit card statement as proof of payment as apparently the till receipt wasn’t suffice & the Waiter didn’t provide a pdq receipt. Fantastic facilities & grounds & felt very festive!"
