I tried to change a reservation date, late response from the establishment and no solution to help the customer. Finally the hotel asked me for more money to change the date than to reserve a new night. I ended up booking in another hotel and losing this night. Bad experience

Very friendly staff but very tired hotel.
The staff welcome was great. We were slightly early but the room was ready & we were allowed in. There is plenty of car parking & easy access from the M6. The hotel was previously a Premier Inn. The bedding, towels and surface's in the room were very clean. The hotel is very tired, the staff explained some of the rooms upstairs have been updated, however our needs were kindly taken into consideration & we were allocated a downstairs room. Sadly the bathroom smelt of urine & was not clean, fortunately we always carry anti bac spray, just in case! (Photo shows my cloth after wiping half the bathroom floor.) The rooms are not very well sound proofed. We wish the owners success with their venture.

The room was clean but it had an over whelming chemical smell. The check in was fab, friendly staff. We had a meal in the restaurant which was fantastic. Definitely recommend the steak. The bed was really comfy. Had TV, kettle, hairdryer. No bathroom extras apart from soap dispenser on the wall. Lovely basic clean hotel.

Long delay to check in, rooms basic but ok, very limited choice on evening menu. No yea bags or milk in the room to make a drink. Went down for breakfast and sat waiting over ten minutes without being attended to so went and found a cafe. Wouldn’t recommend staying

Very tired hotel with some questionable guests. Smelt of drugs on hotel corridor. Badly in need of refurb. Were met with surprise when ordered ‘paid for’ breakfast. Breakfast good quality. Restaurant a better standard and more normal overall. Wouldn’t stay again.

Do Not Book !! Hotel closed
This hotel has closed down ! You book it turn up to an over grown car park, then the front door has a chain and padlock around it ! To make it worse you arrive late at night call the number and they tell you ‘ we did not know it’s closed’ promise to call you back and never do and end up wasting money then hunting at 12am for a new hotel for the night and pay over the odds! Do not book this hotel

Value for money but needs a facelift in places
Sad as this is a large hotel that had no guests and was in need of a re-energising re-furb, the room was soulless but spacious and practical. A great nights sleep, piping hot water bath and shower. An obvious lack of staff and management presence was felt. We would like to shout out for our waitress Olivia who was very friendly and happy to help. Breakfast was delicious. We would stay again, but have a feeling it won’t be there much longer.
