"Wonderful hotel with lovely sauna and bath which was a real treat and highlight of our honeymoon. Walkable to Gion and iconic areas of Kyoto in 20-30 minutes. Lots of food and transport options around. Free drink in the evening which was a nice addition. Our room had a beautiful view over the West of Kyoto and the mountains which was lovely especially at sunset. We would definitely stay here again. "

"Upon departing from Tokyo, my younger brother and I chose this lovely location for our Kyoto stay. Even doing some research before our trip, I didn't realise we were SO close to Nishiki Market! This was a major plus in our book - the main drag was only around 6-7 mins from the hotel, which also meant our Tea Ceremony was close as well. The hotel is very classy, with gorgeous decor and several restaurants as well as spa and hot spring facilities. I wasn't able to take advantage of the hot spring...

"An excellent stay in Kyoto. New and very clean, hip hotel in a great area for exploring. The subway station is right beneath the hotel, making it easy to go anywhere and everywhere. Also very walkable neighborhood. "

"Our favorite hotel in Japan! It's so close to the station, lots of busses, shopping, eating nearby. The staff was so helpful- they filled out my Yamato shipping form for me and took care of things. The only annoyance is that despite using a key card, the elevator always stops and opens at floor 2. The laundry facilities were very nice and you could check on them on the TV (to see how much time was left or if they were free). I also loved how the pajamas were two piece variety! "
